Last Tuesday afternoon, I was headed out to photograph the water in Great Brook (the outlet of Gregg Lake) for my “Flow” project. I packed up and headed back up the lake road towards home just in time to witness a spectacular sunset… good thing I still had some extra space on my memory card!

No, good thing you weren’t shooting film as there would have been no frames to shoot these!
I do like the reflections in both color and monochromatic. I know the “blackness” is needed for the overall impact but in a few instances there is almost too much of a dark body in the middle of the image.
What to do? Possibly, I’d dump the bottom in #1 and pick up a little of the ground and all of that amazing sky. For #2, the rocks in the foreground stopped me from getting into what I see as the image the background sky and reflection. #3 appears to be draining to the right but otherwise I wouldn’t touch a thing! As for #4, I love the colors you got, it’s just that large black land mass that is distracting me.
See what happens when I graduate from Image Analysis School 🙂
