Recognizing that there is a certain amount of hubris involved in starting a blog, here I go!
In past, I have made small temporary (and hidden) galleries on my web site that I have used to share recent photographs with friends and family. I sent links to these galleries to people by email and often include a bit of story in the email, This blog is intended to replace that process.
It is my intent to use this blog to show new work as it is created and to tell (at least some of) the story behind each photograph (or set of photographs). Although I may, on occasion, sneak in an older image or two.
Those of you who know me, know that my main photographic interest is the natural world… both wildlife and landscapes. However, I do try to photograph other subjects as I get the chance.
The articles will focus more on the “stories” associated with the photographs and less on the technical side (i.e. how the image was made). That said, a technical article might sneak in on occasion if I feel the urge. For those of you who are not rabid avid photographers, feel free to skip those articles!
It is also my intent to add entries to this blog regularly (maybe every week or so), but I am not planning on a regular schedule… we’ll have to see how it goes.
Although you are welcome to stop by at random intervals to see what has happened since your last visit, I have also taken advantage of modern blogging tools and provide both a RSS feed and an email notification system (i.e. a subscription feature) that are capable of automatically notifying you when I add a new article. Links to both of these features are located on the sidebar at the right of each page.
