It was a dark and stormy night…

Actually, it was a rainy afternoon… but that doesn’t sound as dramatic!

The foliage is close to peak around here. I headed out about four o’clock in a light rain to photograph.

Over the next couple of hours the weather cycled from a drizzle to moderate rain. As the hour got later and the light began to fade the fog moved in.

I never made it past the bridge at the north end of Gregg Lake a mile from the house. The photographic possibilities seemed endless.

  1. I love the first two Frank. Especially the first one. Its almost an impressionist painting with the color pixels and texture. Both Should be enlarged and framed. Really nice.

  2. Talk about mood! This last one has it! It’s almost monochromatic.
“Snags in Autumn” has great appeal – and then I asked myself WWFD? What would Frank do? i might want to revisit it as a pano eliminating most of the gray blah water.
I’m hoping to get to Acadia this weekend with several Stony Brookers. I have to get over a slight bone spur first – ouch and ugh!!
