{"id":779,"date":"2011-09-18T13:47:04","date_gmt":"2011-09-18T17:47:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gorga.org\/blog\/?p=779"},"modified":"2011-09-18T13:47:04","modified_gmt":"2011-09-18T17:47:04","slug":"antrim-home-and-harvest-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/gorga.org\/blog\/?p=779","title":{"rendered":"Antrim Home and Harvest Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday was the peak of Antrim&#8217;s 8th Annual<a href=\"http:\/\/www.homeandharvest.org\/\"> Home and Harvest Day<\/a> event&#8230; a parade, skateboarding, crafts and food along Main Street, a corn on the cob eating contest and much more. The day ends with a chicken barbecue, concert and fireworks at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tenneyfarm.com\/\">Tenney Farm<\/a>; the headliner for this years concert was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artistdirect.com\/artist\/bio\/luther-guitar-junior-johnson\/449897\">Luther &#8220;Guitar Junior&#8221; Johnson<\/a>, a Chicago bluesman who lives in the Antrim area.<\/p>\n<p>Joan and I spent the entire day &#8220;downtown&#8221;. We delivered the apple crisp that Joan made at the behest of her cousin Liz to the Antrim Historical Society booth just before 9 AM. We ended the day with chicken (cooked by Joan&#8217;s cousin John) and the concert\/fireworks.
