{"id":4427,"date":"2019-05-30T23:30:28","date_gmt":"2019-05-31T03:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gorga.org\/blog\/?p=4427"},"modified":"2019-05-30T23:20:17","modified_gmt":"2019-05-31T03:20:17","slug":"contoocook-north-branch-rivers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/gorga.org\/blog\/?p=4427","title":{"rendered":"Contoocook &#038; North Branch Rivers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Inspired by a discussion at yesterday&#8217;s conservation commission meeting,  I took a drive along our local rivers  this afternoon .  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Contoocook (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Contoocook_River\" target=\"_blank\">Contoocook River<\/a> runs roughly seventy miles, from Jaffery (south of Antrim) to Pennacook (north of Concord) where it joins the mighty Merrimack. It forms the eastern border of Antrim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"North Branch (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/North_Branch_Contoocook_River\" target=\"_blank\">North Branch<\/a> (of the Contoocook) River runs about seventeen miles, from Stoddard to its confluence with the Contoocook in Hillsborough. Most of its run is through the north part of Antrim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I took both my &#8220;normal&#8221; camera and my camera obscura with me on the drive but I was moved to use only latter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am mulling beginning a larger project  involving photographing along the entire length of each river. We&#8217;ll have to see how this pans out.
