The current challenge is &#8220;looking down&#8221;. I don&#8217;t often participate in these challenges, preferring instead to go my own way.<\/p>\n<p>However, a couple of weekends ago, I headed out for a stroll down &#8220;our&#8221; road in NH and decided that there is a\u00a0 lot of interesting subject matter on a dirt road during mud in NH.<\/p>\n<p>Mud&#8230; that is the season in northern New England that comes between winter and &#8220;black fly&#8221;. Mud occurs about the same\u00a0 time that the maple sap is running.\u00a0 And of course, by the time &#8220;black fly&#8221; is over summer arrives&#8230; we have no spring to speak of in northern New England!<\/p>\n<p>So, here are the &#8220;keepers&#8221; from my stroll. Most are along the lines of &#8220;looking down&#8221; with a few others thrown in at the end.
