{"id":3857,"date":"2017-10-28T18:00:28","date_gmt":"2017-10-28T22:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gorga.org\/blog\/?p=3857"},"modified":"2017-10-28T17:39:30","modified_gmt":"2017-10-28T21:39:30","slug":"photo-pairs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/gorga.org\/blog\/?p=3857","title":{"rendered":"Photo Pairs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I made a few new\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gorga.org\/blog\/?p=3558\">Autumnal Abstracts<\/a> this past week.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by <a href=\"http:\/\/theonlinephotographer.typepad.com\/the_online_photographer\/2017\/10\/the-diptych-but-not-really.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this post<\/a> (at <a href=\"http:\/\/theonlinephotographer.typepad.com\/the_online_photographer\/blog_index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Online Photographer<\/a>), I decided to present the new work in pairs.<\/p>\n<p>Choosing the pairs was a interesting process. Starting with about two dozen photographs total, I made and discarded many pairs before settling on these three.<\/p>\n<p>The first pair is comprised of two different exposures of the same small scene (a pair of brightly colored leaves, if my memory serves). I chose the second pair because they both have somewhat linear patterns and they have contrasting palettes; warm colors vs. cool colors.
