The impetus for the trip was the annual meeting of the <a href=\"http:\/\/nhspa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">NH Society of Photographic Artists<\/a>. This weekend-long event was held at the AMC&#8217;s Highland Center in Crawford Notch.<\/p>\n<p>I got a little distracted making photographs on the way north, but I did make it to the afternoon session of the meeting. The meeting was held in a room which contains a collection of spectacular photographs by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washburngallery.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bradford Washburn<\/a>, a well-known mountain photographer. One of the speakers was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.decaneasarchive.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tony\u00a0<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.decaneasarchive.com\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Decaneas<\/a>, an associate of Washburn&#8217;s who printed many of his later prints. Tony told some wonderful stories about Washburn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The \u00a0NHSPA is a lively and welcoming group.
