The wildlife was not what we expected but interesting none-the-less. Megafauna (wolves, caribou, bears, moose and musk ox) were few and far between, but signs of them were common. Birds were common, as were red squirrels.

For a few days, skeins of geese, taking advantage of a tail wind and heading south were common overhead. Of course, we were headed more-or-less north. Thus their tail wind was our head wind!
